Our Kilimanjaro team completed the Mission!  After Eight days of climbing up and down the mountain our brother's bodies are hurting but their souls are soaring.  They all said that living out in the field and relying on each other to accomplish this mission took them back to the best parts of being in the IDF.   To that point, if you look at the photo below you will see that in addition to the Flag of Achim LaChaim and the State of Israel there is a green and yellow flag being held by two of our brothers.  There is an amazing story behind this.
 

This is the Flag of the Golani Brigade. Two of our guys on the climb who were in one of the worst battles in Lebanon and lost their close friends decided to write the names of their friends who died on this Flag. This way their friends would be "together with them" on this mission and at the summit they raised this flag in tribute to them. Since they weren't able to finish the mission together in Lebanon they finished this mission together on top of Kilimanjaro.

Summiting Kilimanjaro will be a sign to all new brothers injured this past summer that while it may seem like the rehabilitation is taking forever, before you know it you will be out of the hospital and accomplishing things beyond what you thought you could do.
